Aston Martin Valen Is the Most Powerful Front-Engine Car Ever Built
The Aston Martin Valen is the most powerful front-engine production car in the world and the most powerful front-engine car in Aston Martin's 113-year history. Valen takes its name from the Latin word "valens," meaning strong or powerful. Production is limited to 150 cars, all pre-sold, with prices starting around $2 million.

The Valen is the latest limited-production model from Q by Aston Martin, the brand's bespoke division, built through its new Special Vehicle Operations department. Valen was revealed on August 14, 2026, at The Quail during Monterey Car Week.

Most Powerful Front-Engine V12
Valen runs the most powerful version of Aston Martin's 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 ever fitted to a production car. It sends 838 hp and 738 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheels from just 2,500 rpm, with no hybrid assist. The 838 hp output beats every front-engine production car before it, including the 819 hp Ferrari 12Cilindri and Aston Martin's own 824 hp Vanquish.

Power runs through an eight-speed ZF automatic with race-proven shift strategies borrowed from the Vantage GT4 program. Valen hits 0 to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 214 mph.

Throttle mapping changes with drive mode. Sport and Sport+ deliver more throttle earlier in the pedal travel, while Track trades that urgency for a longer, more progressive map when precision matters.

Chassis and Weight
Valen cuts up to 243 pounds over Aston Martin's core V12 platform, using carbon fiber, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium throughout. An optional lightweight pack adds machined aluminum suspension arms and knuckles plus titanium chassis bolts, saving another 37 pounds.

The suspension runs a solid-mounted rear subframe, model-specific springs, and Bilstein DTX semi-active dampers. Aston Martin tuned the steering to make Valen feel shorter and lighter than it is, and firmed up the brake pedal for the carbon-ceramic discs, 410 mm front and 360 mm rear. Standard 21-inch magnesium wheels wear bespoke Pirelli P Zero R tires with Cyber Tire telemetry that feeds live data to the stability and traction systems.

Built to Sound Loud
A new titanium exhaust gives the V12 its voice through 3D-printed tailpipes, split into two upper and two lower exits in a quad layout that evokes a mid-engine hypercar. The upper pair stays open at all times, while the valved lower pair opens based on drive mode. The tuning cuts lower frequencies and lifts higher tones, and the upper outlets are shaped like organ pipes to build resonance as the revs climb.

Design Features
Valen wears a full carbon-fiber body with harder lines than any Aston Martin before it. Recessed headlamps sit under a sharp bonnet line, and side strakes stretch into functional wheel-arch vents. Serrated fins along the sills pull air from under the car to cut lift and add downforce.

At the rear, a solid tailgate replaces the fixed window and trunk lid, and a full-width light bar acts as a Gurney flap for downforce without a wing. The trunk holds 170 liters.
The show car wears Satin Andromeda Red, a color-shifting Q paint that moves between deep red, copper, gold, and blue. Buyers can also spec a fully exposed carbon-fiber body with custom tints.

Interior
The cabin centers on a slim, driver-angled center console built with 3D-printed parts, a concept carried over from the Valhalla. Buyers pick between Sports Plus seats for comfort or carbon-fiber performance seats for track use, then work through a new hierarchy of trim levels and material splits running from Monotone to Driver Focused.
