Meguiar's Brings Two Sonderwerks Porsche 911 Builds to Luftgekühlt 12
Car care brand Meguiar's is bringing two custom Porsche 911s to Luftgekühlt 12, an air-cooled Porsche show at Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. Sonderwerks, a Porsche restoration shop in North Carolina, built both cars.

Meguiar's has partnered with the Luftgekühlt series for six years and features select builds in its display. The car care brand dates back to 1901 and is based in Irvine, California.

Fashion Grey 1991 Porsche 911 964
The 964 is the 911 generation Porsche sold from 1989 to 1994. This one got a two-year nut-and-bolt restoration and a 3.9-liter engine that made 375 hp on the dyno. A shorter ring and pinion sharpens acceleration, and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential helps in the corners.

The body is backdated to look like the 1973 911 RSR race car, with a carbon fiber splitter, a hand-laid roof panel and 17-inch Braid BZ wheels. Inside, GTS Classics seats are trimmed in Bordeaux red, black and woven carbon leather. Parts suppliers include Kinsler, Link, Ohlins, Brembo and Elephant Racing.

Magenta 1977 Porsche 911 Coupe
Originally black, the 1977 Coupe was repainted at its owner's request in Magenta, or Karminrot, a Porsche color offered from 1974 to 1977 under paint code 009.

Its Big Port 3.0-liter engine runs 9.8-to-1 pistons and cylinders and 964 camshafts, and the suspension was upgraded to match with Bilstein dampers, Elephant Racing torsion bars, and Eibach sway bars.

The bumpers follow the style of RUF, the German builder of Porsche-based cars, and the ducktail spoiler copies the one on the 1973 Carrera RS. Inside are Recaro Pole Position bucket seats in black leather and Pasha, Porsche's checkered cloth.

What Is Sonderwerks
Sonderwerks is a Porsche repair, restoration, and performance shop in Cornelius, North Carolina, near Charlotte. Its 15,000-square-foot facility puts engine, transmission, paint, body, and upholstery work under one roof.

What Is Luftgekühlt 12
Luftgekühlt is German for air-cooled, and the series celebrates Porsches from that era. Luft 12 debuted in the Atlanta area on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, Georgia.

The town sits next to Trilith Studios, where Marvel films from the Ant-Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Avengers franchises were made.
