Confirmed on September 7, 2026, the concept previews styling that will appear on the new Polestar 2, due in 2027, and the Polestar 7 compact SUV, arriving in 2028. Formula 2030 also reinforces Polestar's performance, technology, and sustainability pillars.

A Bold Evolution, Not a Revolution

Polestar design chief Philipp Römers and his team describe the concept as a bold evolution of Polestar's Scandinavian form language rather than a clean-sheet redesign. Signature elements carry over, including the brand's Dual Blade headlights, keeping the car unmistakably a Polestar while pushing exterior and interior design, material innovation, and sustainability forward.

Römers frames the approach as evolution, not revolution. The team wanted to move the brand's design language into its next chapter while protecting the elements that already define it.

Part of a Wider 2030 Strategy

Formula 2030 is Polestar's commercial strategy built around continued business growth and a push toward profitability. Polestar will show the concept first to investors, retailers, and a select group of VIP customers at a behind-the-scenes preview at The Cube, its Gothenburg headquarters. The global public debut comes later this year, tied to the media drive of the Polestar 4 SUV.
