The 2026 New York International Auto Show ran from April 3 through April 12 at the Javits Center in Manhattan. Press preview days on April 1 and 2 brought production debuts, concept vehicles, and special editions from Kia, Subaru, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Genesis, Dodge, Infiniti, Nissan, and Chrysler.

125 Years of the New York Auto Show

The New York International Auto Show first opened its doors in 1900, making it the oldest automotive exhibition in North America. For more than a century, it has served as the stage where automakers choose to debut their most significant new vehicles to the American market, drawing press, industry insiders, and the public to the Javits Center each spring. The 2026 edition marks the show's 125th anniversary.

Hyundai Boulder Concept

Hyundai debuted the Boulder Concept at the show, marking the brand's official entry into body-on-frame architecture. The design study previews a dedicated ladder-frame platform intended to underpin a production midsize pickup truck by 2030, confirmed to compete directly against the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, and Toyota Tacoma.

Hyundai CEO José Muñoz confirmed the Boulder is one of 36 new Hyundai vehicles coming to North America by 2030, with all future body-on-frame production models designed, developed, and manufactured in the United States using domestic steel. Design highlights include 37-inch mud-terrain tires, coach-style entry doors, a double-hinged tailgate that opens from either side, a power drop-down rear window, and a full-size spare mounted on the tailgate. A windshield-spanning head-up display replaces a traditional gauge cluster inside.

2027 Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid

The Forester Wilderness Hybrid brings a hybrid powertrain to Subaru's off-road Wilderness lineup for the first time. The system pairs Subaru's 2.5-liter boxer-four with Subaru's next-generation hybrid system and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. Full-time Symmetrical AWD is retained throughout. Total output is 194 horsepower, up from 180 in the standard Forester Wilderness.

Subaru estimates around 32 mpg combined, approximately 25 percent better than the gas-powered Forester Wilderness. Ground clearance remains unchanged at 9.3 inches, with approach and departure angles carrying over as well. All-terrain tires, underbody protection, and raised ride height are all retained from the standard Wilderness. The 2027 Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid goes on sale later in 2026.

2027 Subaru Getaway

The Getaway is Subaru's first three-row electric SUV and its most powerful production vehicle to date, with up to 420 horsepower in dual-motor configuration. Built on a shared platform with the Toyota Highlander EV, the Getaway is longer than Subaru's current three-row gas SUV, the Ascent, giving it more passenger and cargo space throughout. Identical front and rear motors deliver standard Symmetrical AWD, with a towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds and 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

The long-range model carries a 95.8-kWh battery with more than 300 miles of range and a NACS charging port standard. DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 30 minutes at a peak rate of 150 kW. A more affordable standard-range model with a 77-kWh battery pack is planned for the first half of 2027. Standard equipment includes a 14-inch touchscreen and a full suite of driver-assistance systems. Deliveries begin by the end of 2026.

2027 Kia EV3

The 2027 Kia EV3 made its North American debut at the New York International Auto Show as the most affordable model in Kia's electric vehicle lineup, which includes the EV6 and EV9. Media: Kia Newsroom

After going on sale in Europe in late 2024, the Kia EV3 is coming to the U.S. with deliveries expected before the end of 2026. The EV3 is compact, similar in size to the Sportage, with a design inspired by the larger three-row EV9. Inside, a 30-inch glass panel houses dual 12.3-inch displays and a separate climate control screen.

The long-range configuration offers up to 320 miles of range and supports Vehicle-to-Load functionality, allowing the car's battery to power external devices like tools or home appliances. The standard-range model features a 58.3-kWh battery with up to 220 miles of range and is expected to start at around $35,000. Both configurations use a 400-volt architecture.

Kia-BraunAbility PV5 WAV Concept

Kia and mobility company BraunAbility debuted the PV5 WAV, a wheelchair-accessible electric taxi concept built on Kia's PV5 commercial van platform. The concept is designed for real-world production feasibility, featuring a low step-in height suited for taxi and rideshare operations, integrated tie-downs, and passenger restraints for wheelchair users. Kia developed the concept using direct feedback from wheelchair users and mobility advocates. Real-world evaluations in New York City are planned as development continues.

2027 Kia Seltos

The second-generation Seltos arrives for the 2027 model year with new exterior styling, a redesigned interior, and more space than the outgoing model. It is the only vehicle in its segment to offer three powertrain options: a 2.0-liter engine producing 147 horsepower, a 195-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo-four exclusive to the range-topping X-Line, and a new hybrid variant arriving later in the year.

Ground clearance increases from 7.3 to an available 8.1 inches. The cabin features a large touchscreen with Netflix and YouTube streaming available while parked. This streaming feature is also available on the EV3. Gas-only models of the 2027 Seltos go on sale in the second quarter of 2026.

2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and Grand Sport X

The 2027 Corvette Grand Sport introduces GM's new 6.7-liter LS6 naturally aspirated V8, producing 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The LS6 is the sixth generation of GM's Small Block V8 and will also power the 2027 Stingray, making it the most powerful standard engine ever offered in a Corvette. Standard equipment includes Magnetic Ride Control, a Touring Suspension, and Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires. The Grand Sport features Z06-inspired widebody styling with signature fender hash marks and an available quad center-exit exhaust.

The Grand Sport X replaces the E-Ray and adds a 186-horsepower front electric motor and compact battery pack sourced from the ZR1X for a combined output of 721 horsepower with all-wheel drive. Production begins at GM's Bowling Green Assembly plant in the summer of 2026.

2027 Volkswagen Atlas

Volkswagen revealed a fully redesigned 2027 Atlas, overhauled inside and out on an updated MQB Evo platform. Power comes from a new 2.0-liter turbocharged EA888 four-cylinder producing 282 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, a gain of 13 horsepower over the outgoing model, paired with an eight-speed automatic.

Front-wheel drive is standard with 4Motion AWD available across the lineup. Towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds. A hybrid variant is confirmed for a future mid-cycle refresh. The three-row SUV competes in a segment that includes the Toyota Grand Highlander, Kia Telluride, and Chevrolet Traverse. Production takes place at Volkswagen's Chattanooga, Tennessee plant, with sales beginning in fall 2026.

2027 Infiniti QX65

The all-new 2027 Infiniti QX65 debuts a sporty fastback silhouette, premium interior, and performance-focused driving character at the 2026 New York International Auto Show. Media: Infiniti News

The QX65 is a new Infiniti nameplate, with styling inspired by the brand's former FX model. It is based on the QX60 platform and carries a signature debut color called Sunfire Red, which contains real gold flecks infused into the paint. Pricing starts at $53,990 when it goes on sale in the summer.

2027 Chrysler Pacifica

Chrysler updated the Pacifica for 2027 with new front styling, technology upgrades, and expanded family amenities. The Voyager nameplate has been retired. In its place is a base LX trim that retains the Voyager's styling but adds more standard features for the money.

2026 Dodge Durango GT America250

The Durango America250 is a commemorative GT special edition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, debuting at the 2026 New York International Auto Show as the first production vehicle shown as part of Stellantis' official America250 partnership. It is available across three trim levels: the GT Plus AWD with a 295-horsepower Pentastar V6 and 260 lb-ft of torque, the GT HEMI Plus AWD with a 5.7-liter 360-horsepower HEMI V8, and the GT HEMI Premium AWD.

Exterior highlights include star-pattern dual stripes with blue tracer accents available on White Knuckle paint, America250 fender decals, and 20-inch Black Noise wheels in Red Oxide, White Knuckle, Night Moves, Destroyer Gray, and Diamond Black. Interior upgrades include Black Laguna leather seats with blue perforation, an American flag embossment, red-and-white accent stitching, a tricolor-stitched steering wheel, and forged carbon-fiber trim. Starting MSRP is $49,590. The Durango is built at the Stellantis Detroit Assembly Complex in Detroit.

2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Package

Ford celebrated the Expedition's 30th anniversary with a special appearance package exclusive to the Platinum trim. The package adds Blue Ember Metallic Tri-coat paint borrowed from the Mustang Dark Horse, 22-inch high-gloss Ebony wheels with anniversary center caps, and 30th anniversary badging inside and out. No mechanical changes are included. Pricing has not been announced.

Genesis GV60 Magma

The GV60 Magma made its U.S. debut at the 2026 New York International Auto Show as the first production model under Genesis's Magma performance sub-brand. Standard output is 609 horsepower with 740 Nm of torque. Activating Boost Mode raises output to 650 horsepower and 790 Nm for approximately 15 seconds, with a top speed of 164 mph. Magma-exclusive features include Virtual Gear Shift, Drift Mode, Launch Control, and a High-Performance Battery Control system. The exterior gets a wider stance, 21-inch forged wheels on 275mm tires, and a ride height 20mm lower than the standard GV60. U.S. availability is planned for mid-2026.

Genesis G90 Wingback Concept

The G90 Wingback Concept made its U.S. debut in New York after a first reveal in December 2025. The concept applies Genesis's Magma high-performance design language to a flagship luxury wagon format. It is built on an unmodified G90 platform with a 126-inch wheelbase and 200-inch overall length, replacing the traditional trunk with a tailgate and a sharply angled rear window.

Exterior highlights include the Crest Grille, large lower air intakes flanked by canards, and flared wheel arches housing custom 22-inch wheels. The concept is finished in deep Magma green. Inside, quilted Chamude upholstery and green Magma stitching carry the performance luxury theme throughout. Genesis describes the G90 Wingback as a bridge between the Magma performance program and its One of One bespoke customization program, with a limited production run under consideration.

2027 Nissan Z

The 2027 Nissan Z receives updated exterior styling and, for the first time, a six-speed manual transmission on the Z NISMO, previously only offered with an automatic. Front brakes sourced from the GT-R are added across the full lineup, along with new exterior and interior color options and a redesigned front grille. A revised fuel tank design on all Z models is intended to maintain consistent performance during aggressive track driving.

Bentley Supersports — Full Send Film Car

Bentley brought the actual car from its Supersports: Full Send film to the show floor, produced in partnership with stunt driver Travis Pastrana. The car is a modified production Supersports fitted with a hydraulic handbrake and custom software to disable stability control, enabling the gymkhana-style driving featured in the film.

Following filming, the car entered Bentley's Heritage Collection. The underlying Supersports is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 657 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, making it the first rear-wheel-drive Continental GT in production history.

Notable Vehicles at the 2026 New York Auto Show

The 2026 New York International Auto Show floor extended well beyond the formal press day reveals. Alongside the debuts, the show hosted some of the most expensive, powerful, and talked-about vehicles in the world. Here is a selection of the most notable vehicles attendees saw in person.

Zenvo Automotive Aurora Agil

The Zenvo Aurora Agil will continue on a North American tour through Manhattan Motorcars following the show, with first deliveries from the 100-car production run expected in late 2026. Media Zenvo Automotive

Danish hypercar manufacturer Zenvo made its East Coast debut at the show, displaying the Aurora Agil alongside New York sales partner Manhattan Motorcars. The Aurora's hybrid powertrain pairs a 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 developed by Mahle Powertrain with an electric motor system for a combined output of 1,850 horsepower and 1,700 Nm of torque. The V12 alone produces 1,250 horsepower and revs to 9,800 rpm. Zenvo claims this is the most powerful V12 setup ever installed in a production road car.

The Aurora Agil is the track-focused rear-wheel drive variant of the Aurora lineup. It weighs under 2,866 pounds, with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and Ohlins adjustable suspension. At 155 mph, the Agil generates 880 kg of downforce from its active rear wing, which also functions as an air brake. Top speed is rated at 227 mph. Production is limited to 50 units of the Agil and 50 of the touring-oriented Aurora Tur, with first deliveries expected later in 2026. Pricing ranges from $2.8 to $3 million.

Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre

Manhattan Motorcars brought the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Spectre to the show floor. The Black Badge Spectre is Rolls-Royce's all-electric super coupe and its most powerful production car in history. Standard output is 659 horsepower with 1,075 Nm of torque. Activating Infinity Mode via a steering wheel button unlocks the full power output for a more direct throttle response. Spirited Mode temporarily amplifies torque for a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds. Chassis changes include recalibrated steering weight and increased roll stabilization compared to the standard Spectre. Range is rated at 306 miles.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS with Manthey Kit

A Porsche 911 GT3 RS fitted with the Manthey Racing kit was on display at the show. The car is based on the 992.1 generation GT3 RS and retains the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing 525 horsepower. Performance gains come entirely from aerodynamic and chassis upgrades.

The kit adds a DRS rear wing, widened winglets, a broader rear diffuser, carbon aerodiscs on the rear wheels, and a carbon rear window that replaces the glass, saving 25 percent of that component's weight. Semi-active coilover suspension is adjustable directly from the steering wheel. Braided steel brake lines are standard. The full aero package generates over 1,000 kg of downforce at 285 km/h.
