375 HP Trailseeker is Subaru's Quickest EV Yet
The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker starts at $39,995 MSRP. Trailseeker is an all-electric SUV with standard all-wheel drive, 375 horsepower, and up to 281 miles of range. It arrives at retailers nationwide later this fall.
What Powers the 2027 Subaru Trailseeker
The Trailseeker uses a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery paired with dual electric motors. Combined output is 375 horsepower. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. That makes it the quickest production Subaru ever sold in the U.S.
Standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive was re-engineered for the electric powertrain. Acceleration sensors at the front and rear adjust to loads during accelerating, braking, and cornering. The system uses a variable torque split for regenerative braking and distributes power front to rear and left to right.
How Far the Trailseeker EV Can Drive on a Charge
The Premium trim offers up to 281 miles of range. The Limited and Touring trims offer up to 274 miles each on their 20-inch wheels.
The Trailseeker has a standard NACS charge port. It unlocks access to more than 25,000 charging stations across North America. It charges from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes at speeds up to 150 kW on a DC fast charger. A battery-preconditioning system lets it charge at normal speeds in temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
Off-Road Capability of the 2027 Trailseeker
The Trailseeker has 8.5 inches of ground clearance. It uses X-MODE Dual-Mode System with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud Modes. It adds Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control. It tows up to 3,500 pounds.
Interior and Cargo Space
The cabin has a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia System touchscreen. Metallic dash finishes emphasize horizontal themes. A large center console handles device charging and storage. StarTex-trimmed upholstery is standard. Leather upholstery is available on Touring models.
Cargo room measures up to 31.3 cubic feet in the rear. That fits four large suitcases and matches the 2026 Subaru Outback. Standard raised roof rails carry a 700-pound static load. The Trailseeker is more than 6 inches longer and nearly 1 inch taller than the Subaru Solterra.
The Premium includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, EyeSight driver assist technology, heated front seats, a power rear gate, dual wireless charging pads, and 18-inch wheels with covers.
The Limited adds a digital key, Harman Kardon audio, a panoramic view monitor, 20-inch gloss black wheels, heated rear seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 120-volt rear outlet.
The Touring adds a gloss black hood accent, a panoramic glass roof with motorized shade, and ventilated front seats with radiant leg warmers. Black and blue leather upholstery runs $300. Two-tone paint with leather runs $795.
Colors and Assembly
The Trailseeker comes in six colors: Brilliant Bronze Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl, Magnetite Gray Metallic, and Sapphire Blue Pearl. Daybreak Blue Pearl adds $395. The 2027 Subaru Trailseeker is assembled in Japan.
When the Subaru Trailseeker Debuted
Subaru first revealed the Trailseeker at the 2025 New York International Auto Show on April 16, 2025. It was the brand's second all-electric SUV after the Solterra. The 2026 model went on sale in early 2026, and the 2027 model carries over with the same $39,995 starting price.
