Bespoke McLaren 750S Inspired by Las Vegas
Project Viva is a custom 750S Spider that pays tribute to Las Vegas through hand-painted, monochrome artwork. See more below.
What Happens in Vegas
McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the brand’s bespoke division responsible for personalization and customization, unveiled this one-of-one 750s Spider at the McLaren Experience Centre within the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel ahead of the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Instead of using the bright neon colors typically associated with Las Vegas, MSO took a different path. The “Sketch in Motion” livery captures the energy of Vegas, weaving iconic signage, skyline elements, and subtle nods to the city’s music scene into the design without relying on color.

Monochrome Magic
The paint features Muriwai White and a brand-new color, MSO exclusively developed for this commission: Vegas Nights. The deep black finishes have subtle flecks of cyan, green, and magenta to mimic the neon glow you'd see on the Strip after dark.

World Champion Approved
Here's a cool touch: McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri actually contributed to the design. They hand-applied their own sketches and signature lines. They even added the team's tenth Constructors' World Championship star on the rear bumper, celebrating McLaren Racing's recent win.

From Inspiration to Reality
Project Viva tells a story through design, demonstrating MSO's bespoke capabilities and showing how a client’s vision can be transformed into something extraordinary. As Jonathan Simms, Director of MSO, explains, the goal was to “push beyond convention to create something truly personal” and translate inspiration into design at every step.

McLaren 750S Spider
Underneath the artwork, the McLaren 750S Spider remains standard. Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels. McLaren claims 0–60 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed over 200 mph.
The Spider weighs 1,438 kg thanks to its carbon fiber structure, making it lighter than the 720S it replaces. Its retractable hardtop retracts in 11 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph, and a revised final drive ratio makes the 750S Spider feel even sharper on the road, with quicker acceleration in real-world driving conditions.
